(NASHVILLE, TN) – Katapult Entertainment Group is shaking up the way things are done in the Christian music industry. "Coming from the secular music industry into the Christian music industry, I was shocked to see some of the things that were going on behind the scenes" says Katapult's president ZoeLena Shuster. "Zoe" who has worked with many multi-platinum secular acts primary in Hip-Hop, R&B and Rap, has found a new mission since turning her once wild lifestyle around for positive change. " I was like, where is the integrity of these people and they call themselves "Christians". After having much success as management for the elite in the secular game, "Zoe" took her business skills and newly rededicated faith into what she calls "Cutting-Edge Faith-Driven Entertainment". Determined to do things differently and to operate with integrity her now rapidly growing number of clients all hold contracts that say Katapult must be truthful in all statements. "Just because we are believers doesn't mean we should be behind in what is hot in music today. Our goal at Katapult is to put out music with a relevant message that ALL people want to listen to" Shuster states with passion.
"This company brings a whole new breed of emerging Artists" says Lee Davis (named Spike Lee's Protege by USA TODAY). Davis a client and friend of Katapult who worked on films like Mo' Better Blues, Malcolm X, 3AM has recently completed a music video filmed in LA for two of Katapult's newest artists Illustrate and Minority. Another show stopper in the Christan Rap scene SICILY (has shared the stage with Donnie McClurkin, Da T.r.u.t.h and Superchick) also has fresh ink on her Katapult Entertainment Group Contract. S.O.U.L Magazine calls SICILY "The Queen of HIP-HOP" which this self-produced artist is well deserving of but in all humbleness the artist's response is "We are all Kings and Queens in Christ". Sicily plans to do many collaborations with other Katapult artists such as Contemporary Gospel singer Naima and fellow rapper Tha' Representa. Sicily explains "It's more than just an agency, it's a family, a movement to launch next greatest minister of the word through music".
Katapult Entertainment Group has also recently joined forces with SJB Anointed Productions to strengthen their booking department. SJB has worked with RIZEN, Vickie Winans, Kiki Sheard, Tonya Baker and many more National acts. Now, Katapult's funky gospel act Craig Dion New Movement looks forward to bookings at the House of Blues thanks to recent merger with SJB. Jita a beautiful gospel singer with a hit single "Diamond Rings" recently had the pleasure to open for the gospel veteran Israel in a concert. This Katatapult artist will be featured on EMI Gospel Compulation due out this fall and is soaring with more radio plays everyday.
So as Christian music "Katapults" to another dimension people on both sides of the industry are standing up and taking notice. "People get caught up in religious ways, practices and disillusioned beliefs" ZoeLena states. She says,"Some have been so hurt by the church they stay away from anything 'Christian'. "If we can make a change by bringing the message of a pivotal personal relationship with Jesus Christ, who is the son of God, the creator of each of us as individuals through the music we represent... then we will fulfill our purpose".
